John M.

Great Doctor in Emergency Situation
I met Dr. Fischer at the emergency room of St. Joseph’s Hospital after a dog bite split my upper right eyelid in half, among other bites, in December 2013. It was on a Saturday evening so I was incredibly lucky that Dr. Fischer was able to come in and perform surgery right away. The surgery lasted a couple hours, while I was conscious, but it flew by thanks to Dr. Fischer’s great bedside manner and amazing operating skills. We literally were able to have normal conversations throughout the procedure despite the fact that the entire area around my eyeball was being operated on. After the operation I had a patch on my eye for about 5 days. I ended up having multiple follow up visits to take the stitches out and for Dr. Fischer to oversee the healing process, which went way better than I could have hoped for.
